Since the birth of our daughter, (and original Flying Pickle) Leia, Georgie and I have been closely connected to 21&Co. This wonderful local charity has provided incredible support and friendship over the last 9 years.
The classic Charles Dickens story
Dickens’ Classic Tale performed to support the Down’s Syndrome Association
This special charity production of the Christmas classic is presented by Flying Pickle Performing Arts as a solo show. The show is performed by actor and Flying Pickle head of studio, Sam Devereaux. Sam will use his experience as a theatre actor and audiobook narrator to bring the novella to life all by himself, just as Dickens himself once did. The venue is the wonderful Grade II listed Victorian Normansfield Theatre in Teddington, one of only two such theatres in private hands in the UK. The production is directed by Flying Pickle Head of Theatre, Georgie Devereaux.
Sam is performing to support the Down’s Syndrome Association. The Down’s Syndrome Association is the only charity in the UK providing support for all aspects of Down’s syndrome. They believe that people who have Down’s syndrome should be fully included in their communities. Their vision is to see people who have Down’s syndrome living healthy and meaningful lives in the community.
